CPUPAT

CPU Performance Assurance Test

This Test does not verify operation of the Arithmetic Logic Units.

1.Load peripheral Disk in Drive 0 with SSW 1 Up. 
2.After the Tone, enterMRAXXX
3.Press StartMRAXXX is loaded
Data Display is 008E
Idle LED is on
4.Press StartMRAXXX is run
Data Display is 008A
Idle LED is on
5.Press StartRRAXXX is loaded
Data Display is 008E
Idle LED is on
6.Press StartRRAXXX is run
Data Display is 008A
Idle LED is on
7.Press StartSKIPAX is loaded
Data Display is 008E
Idle LED is on
8.Press StartFirst Part of SKIPAX is run
Data Display is 02F3
Idle LED is on
9.Press IR DownData Display is CE09
10.Set SSW 1,2 & 4 Up
Set SSW 3 Down
 
11.Press StartSecond Part of SKIPAX is run
Data Display is 030E
Idle LED is on
12.Press IR DownData Display is CE0A
13.Set SSW 1,2 & 4 Down
Set SSW 3 Up
 
14.Press StartLast Part of SKIPAX is run
Idle LED is on
As SSW 1 is Down, the System automatically Loads and Runs the Tests SHIFTA, PIFAXX, BYTEAX and MEMAXX:
Continue from Step 23 unless you want to run these Tests manually, in which case, continue from step 15.
15.Press StartSHIFTA is loaded
Data Display is 008E
Idle LED is on
16.Press StartSHIFTA is run
Data Display is 008A
Idle LED is on
17.Press StartPIFAXX is loaded

18.Press StartPIFAXX is run (Takes approx. 30 seconds)

19.Press StartBYTEAX is loaded

20.Press StartBYTEAX is run

21.Press StartMEMAXX is loaded
Data Display is 008E

22.Press StartMEMAXX is run

23.Set SSW 1 Up 
24.Set A DownData Display is 03E0
(First Test Memory Address)
25.Set X DownData Display shows size of Memory
8K   = 1FFF    40K = 9FFF
16K = 3FFF    48K = BFFF
24K = 5FFF    56K = DFFF
32K = 7FFF    64K = FFFF
26.Press StartMEMAXX is run
(Takes approx. 90 Seconds)
Data Display is 008A
Idle LED is on
27.Press StartROMAXX is loaded
Data Display is 008E
Idle LED is on
28.Press StartROMAXX is run
Data Display is 023B
Idle LED is on
29.Set Mode to HaltIdle LED goes off
30.Press Load Switch Up 
31.Set Mode to Run 
32.Press StartROMAC is loaded

33.Press StartM980R is loaded

34.Press StartM980R is run

35.Set Data Switches to Memory Size (from Step 25) 
36.Press A Up 
37.Set SSW 1 Up 
38.Press StartM980R is run
This Test takes the following times to complete
Memory Size 0-24K   = 1 Memory PCB   = Run for 3 Minutes
Memory Size 24-48K = 2 Memory PCB's = Run for 6 Minutes
Memory Size 48-64K = 3 Memory PCB's = Run for 9 Minutes
39.To stop Test set SSW 1 Down.Data Display should be 0299
If Idle LED comes on, refer to TI Manual 961961-770 CPUPAT.
