SimUser Terms & ConditionsSimUser.com exists for the purpose of providing an information and communication resource for simulator users worldwide. It is intended that this resource remain independent of any company who builds or operates simulation equipment. Without interference from enterprise SimUser.com can become and remain one of the most useful and valuable information sources for simulator related issues worldwide. SimUser.com consists of a web site with a discussion forum, and a mailing list. Both may be browsed by anyone, but posting of new topics and messages is exclusive to members. Purpose and Use of InformationThe information provided by SimUser.com is intended for the general interest of members and casual browsers. Any other use is at the discretion and sole responsibility of the individual. Accuracy of InformationWhile SimUser.com will make every reasonable effort to ensure the accuracy of information provided, no warranty is expressed or implied. Security of Personal InformationTo register membership the following information must be provided: name, email address and country. Registration of more than one member using a single email address is prohibited. Personal information held by SimUser.com will be used for the administration of the web site and mailing list and will not be released to third parties. Members may choose to hide their email addresses in their user profile of the forums and maillist, however, the list of member names will remain visible. SimUser.com will use all reasonable means to safeguard members' personal information. However, SimUser.com does not accept any liability for the theft of personal information, or the consequences thereof. This applies especially, but without limitation, to theft of personal information by electronic means. A member will be provided, upon request, all their personal information held by SimUser.com. Personal information will be updated on request, however, the member is encouraged to do so using his or her user profile. All of a member’s personal information held by simuser.com will be deleted upon termination of membership. This does not include the user's name or email address where it forms part of messages on either the forums or maillist, or where the user has submitted other material to SimUser.com. Conduct and Use of the Mailing List & ForumThe SimUser.com mailing list and forums are open and un-moderated, and as such, SimUser.com does not accept responsibility for the content of items distributed to members through these mediums. Members of SimUser.com must conduct themselves in a way which adheres to normally accepted standards of politeness and decency. In submission of items to the SimUser.com mailing list members agree to avoid content which is likely to offend others. SimUser.com retains the right to remove or modify any messages posted to either the mailling list or the forums. Posting of material of a sexual or pornographic nature is forbiden under all circumstances. SimUser.com reserves the right to append advertisements to emails sent to the mailing list, and to send email advertisements to the mailing list if, in the sole opinion of SimUser.com, the information is relevant to the SimUser.com membership. Termination of MembershipMembership of SimUser.com will be terminated upon request. SimUser.com reserves the right to terminate an individual membership, without explanation and without any right of the member to independent arbitration. Limit of LiabilityMembers and casual browsers of SimUser.com accept that SimUser.com shall not be liable for any loss, be it direct, indirect, consequential or other, however caused, arising from any use of information provided by SimUser.com, or for any offence caused whether intended or not from viewing content on SimUser.com's Web site, forum, or maillist. Amendment of Terms and ConditionsSimUser.com reserves the right to modify or replace these terms and conditions at any time. Upon any change to these terms and conditions, members will be informed by email or via a notice posted on the Web site. Upon these terms and conditions being changed, the new terms and conditions will apply immediately to new members and casual browsers. However, for existing members the previous terms and conditions will remain in force for 14 days from the date of notification of the terms having been updated. Members may terminate their SimUser.com membership in this time should they not agree to the new terms and conditions.
