Simulator Training is a £1bn Business for Thales and CAE of Canada

The RAF is launching covert bombing raids against schools and other key landmarks across the country, acts of gleeful revenge for a litany of abuses such as extra homework, detentions and humiliations in class.

Football grounds, too, are being obliterated, to a chorus of partisan cheering. It's tough out there, in cyberspace.

RAF Preparing Nimrod MRA4 Crews on Thales Simulators Print E-mail

TT&S Nimrod MRA4 Simulator CockpitRAF pilots are using Thales' new training simulators to prepare for the delivery of the updated MR2 Nimrod aircraft in 2010.

The crews are using the simulators for training and familiarisation in anticipation of BAE Systems' Nimrod Maritime Reconnaissance Attack 4 (MRA4).

CAE Laying the Groundwork for Bombardier CSeries Simulator Print E-mail

Bombadier CSeries Artists ImpressionCAE Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of full-flight simulators, says it has already done a lot of the groundwork required to develop a simulator for Bombardier’s yet-to-be-launched CSeries.

While the Montreal plane maker has yet to give the aircraft program a green light, CAE has been active assessing the market for the 110 to 130 seat plane.

India to Upgrade MiG-29s Print E-mail

IAF Mig 29sIndia has signed an agreement with Russia to upgrade its RSK MiG-29 fighters, but industry observers say lingering tensions could affect Moscow's chances in future tenders.

Under the $1 billion contract, the Indian air force's 69 MiG-29s will be upgraded over a 36-month period to extend their service lives by another 15 years.

CAE Achieves Level D for Falcon 7X & Gulfstream G450/550 Simulators Print E-mail

Dassault Falcon 7XCAE achieved industry firsts with the receipt of Level D certification, the highest qualification for flight simulators, for two CAE-built Dassault Falcon 7X full-flight simulators (FFSs) located in CAE’s Burgess Hill training centre in the U.K. and CAE’s North East Training Centre (NETC) near Morristown, New Jersey.
